FOR INFORMATION ONLY: The Wesfarmers Rural business originated from the ‘stock and station' business established by Western Australian Producers Co-operative Union in 1902 and subsequently acquired by Westralian Farmers Co-operative in 1914. Westralian Farmers Co-operative Limited operated as a farmers' co-operative until a corporate reorganisation and listing on the Australian Stock Exchange took place in 1984, which resulted in the transfer of all operating businesses to Wesfarmers Limited. Subsequent to this reorganisation, Wesfarmers was admitted to the official list of the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX). The rural services business was operated as a division of Wesfarmers predominantly in Western Australia until 1993, when Wesfarmers acquired the operations of Dalgety Farmers Limited forming Wesfarmers Dalgety. Wesfarmers Landmark became the brand name of the business following the acquisition of IAMA Limited in February 2001.
